Privacy Policy
RaceCue is designed to keep training data on your device. The app does not require a RaceCue account and currently uses no advertising, tracking, or developer-operated analytics SDK.
Information stored on your device
RaceCue stores app settings, selected voices and languages, custom starter recordings, custom competition ambience, reaction and stopwatch results, athlete names entered into coach sessions, session notes, structured-session history, and export preferences locally on your device. RaceCue does not upload this information to a developer-operated server.
Removing the app, clearing its storage, or replacing the device without a device backup may permanently delete locally stored information.
Camera, start detection, torch, and video
Camera access is optional. It may be used for hands-free Start Detection, camera-based reaction estimates, Start Video, and the supported rear-camera torch GO cue. Start Detection processes camera frames live on the device and does not use face recognition or upload camera frames.
When Start Video is enabled, RaceCue temporarily records a start on the device so you can preview it. The video is saved to your device or shared only when you choose Save video. Start videos and camera frames are not uploaded automatically. Unsaved previews may be replaced by a later recording or removed when the app closes.
Start Detection, Start Video, and the torch use the same camera hardware, so the app runs only one of those camera modes at a time.
Microphone and audio recordings
Microphone access is optional. It is used only when you choose to record personal starter commands, a custom background environment, a custom trackside distraction, or microphone audio with Start Video. These recordings remain local unless you deliberately save, share, export, or back them up using your device.
Motion sensors and reaction estimates
Motion-sensor access is optional and is used to detect movement around the start signal for false-start and reaction training. Raw motion readings are processed in real time and are not uploaded. RaceCue does not use GPS location.
Reaction values are training estimates and can vary with phone placement, camera frame rate, device sensors, lighting, Bluetooth audio, and the athlete's setup. They are not certified competition measurements.
Session exports and device sharing
When you choose to export a session or save a video, the selected file may be passed to the operating system's share sheet, photo library, Files app, or another app you choose. The privacy practices of that destination are controlled by the device provider or receiving app.
Purchases
Premium purchases are processed by the Apple App Store. RaceCue does not receive your card or bank details. Apple provides the app with purchase and entitlement status so Premium can be unlocked and restored. RaceCue stores the resulting Premium status locally on your device and does not send it to a RaceCue server.
Sharing, advertising, and tracking
RaceCue does not sell personal information, track you across other apps or websites, or share training data with advertisers. The current app has no RaceCue account, cloud-sync service, advertising network, or developer-operated analytics service.
Children
RaceCue does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated service. A parent, guardian, coach, club, or school remains responsible for supervising device, camera, microphone, recording, and training use by minors and for obtaining any permission required before recording another person.
Your choices and deletion
You can decline camera, microphone, motion, photo-library, or related permission and continue using features that do not require that permission. Permissions can be reviewed in your phone settings.
You can delete custom recordings and session history inside RaceCue. Removing the app and its data clears the remaining locally stored settings and results. Files already saved to Photos, Files, cloud backup, or another app must be removed from that destination separately.
Policy changes and contact
This policy may be updated if RaceCue's features or data practices change. The current date and policy will remain available on this page. Privacy questions can be submitted through the RaceCue support page.
